Real estate developers & "recreational" promoters have been trying to build lakes on the Pascagoula for several years. This time they think they will get the money from the BP settlement. The Environmental Assessment and the full permit application were kept away from the public until now...the Sun-Herald editorialized that people should be able to see these documents. Damming major tributaries of the Pascagoula will hurt it irreparably, and probably damage water supply through the wetlands downstream.
